During the economical downturn, a question I have for leaders is, What has been learned from this experience? A leader at a prominent university recently commented that "learning" has gotten us in this mess and "learning" needs to get us out of it.
I truly believe that we need to reflect and "learn" about what has not gone well, develop strategies to change the future, and periodically evaluate where we are in order to come out ahead and prevent an unfavorable business downturn.
